Should also add that i got one of these when i moved

Only paid £49 instead of £149 though due to having complained numerous times and i told them i knew a Sky Installer called Steve  Shall see now if it solves my recording problems. It's not updated to the new software yet though even though the engineer forced an update. Apparently it will come through on it's own unless our resident engineer knows a way to force it.

New house so thought i would replace our Dyson as it is 10yrs old. Was looking at current equivalent Dyson and its £399.99  :stupid:

So i bought this instead at £149 as it has £130 off the RRP at Comet Online. The headline with this vacuum is (in a head to head with Dyson) that at only 1kg heavier it is a hell of a lot more powerful suction wise (and we all know that sucking is vital )

Dyson DC 41                     Vax

7.8kg                               8.8kg
255 Air Watts (Suction)    340 Air Watts (Suction)
5yr Warranty                   6yr Warranty
2.1L Dust Capacity           3L Dust Capacity

The remainder is pretty much the same.

I've still got a DC04 Dyson from 1999. It's still amazing  :happy2:

I was gonna replace it for a newer Dyson but tbh, whilst working in customers houses and on the odd occasion using their vacuum cleaners Ive had the chance to use allsorts of brands.

The newer Dysons were really poor

As a result ive kept mine for another year, then another year.....

I doubt I will buy a Dyson next.

I'll be in touch Carl for a review of the VAX when I'm ready to buy.

No problem Carlo :happy2:

To be honest our Dyson (which is also a DC04) isn't too bad. I just don't think it is very good at getting pet hair out the carpet/furniture. It's not as if they are dogs that moult a lot either.

I've replaced all the filters and brushes on it for new ones and thoroughly cleaned it all out too but i still wasn't happy. So now with having the baby i thought it was time to change. So the Dyson will now be for the car.

I'm expecting this Vax to suck the granite tiles up off the floor in the kitchen

It's not available on the DR stream currently Carl.

It will catch up in due course, but the Disaster Recovery stream doesn't get changed to the new EPG till all models of hd boxes are running satisfactory. Just incase they need to revert back to the old EPG if there's a mass flaw in the guide lol or Carl's series link on F1 doesn't work  :signLOL:

I would guess within a week Carl, you should get the new guide re-fed down  :happy2:
