I'm currently running campagnolo on my summer carbon bike, never had it before always been shimano but I'm quite impressed with it. Just deciding whether to do Di2 on my next bike or keep it all Italian?!!!? :happy2:

....Due to serious drops in sales caused by Shimano entering the market, Campag really had to pull their socks up. They did so and Campag vs Shimano is equivalent to Canon vs Nikon, if you get my drift - Both are very good and reliable brands.

I was still at school Robin. Most of my stuff was very secondhand.

It's not about the bike.

....Very true, but having a bike which could perform better than yourself was very good psychologically - At least it was for me. A broken chain while 50 miles from home and all dressed up in skin tight Lycra and funny clackety shoes was not a nice way to be!

They'll do a similar deal on anything, Luke - diesels are 3.9% APR too.

Carbon mirror caps may be on the shopping list. Wheels are tricky at the mo, as they're F20/21 specific offsets - so anything new is hard to come by.

Still get the dealer deposit contribution on top of the discount?

That isn't applicable to the M135i. I think any deal you get will take that contribution into account so they both add up to around a total of 10% off.

Did some miles around the Wales GP circuit today, even in the cold and wet it's just so capable. If you get one, deffo ask to have the Supersports instead of runflats, if that's an option to do so on the other models.

I see BMW stopped their discounted finance offers on the 31st December. Diesels are up to 8.7% APR and Petrols at 9.1% APR.  :sad1:

They have also stopped the dealer deposit contribution, although i expect discount can still be had for the same value.

I guess a BMW is out the equation for me when we need to buy a new car in April/May now.

Ouch, that is disappointing. I wonder what the uptake was like - the finance rates were certainly making BMWs strangely affordable!
