Im not a bike guy but that looks very nice,
why is the front wheel diff from the back though
is that just the way you do it on bikes ?

Looking good mate, very nice. Always admired Triumphs, keep talking myself out of a Daytona 675 each year! I've got a K4 Gixxer 600, must get a few bit sorted before summer! Yep, in Derby/Burton too.

Thanks Scott. The reason it looks different is mine has a single side swing arm (which is standard) instead of the normal double sided. Not completely sure what advantages there are but I suppose it lets them make a feature of the wheel.

Luka - Howcome you keep talking yourself out of one? Fantastic engine. I test rode a Street Triple the same time as the Speed and thought it was great. Physically just a little too small for me. You can't beat the noise of a triple either with a nice pipe on  :wink:

If you know Derby/Burton you must know Swadlincote aswell?

Yeah I'm in Swad. Good memory. I'm at Royces yeah. Down the Sinfin Lane end. Work in machine tool maintenance. Have to drop me a message if you're everin the Swad/Burton area.

where did you get that from? im sure thats one that used to go around by me! if it is i'd check it over with a fine toothcombe as it was owned by one hashy little barstewards! Lovely car though im a big big fan of the 106's ive owned about 10! haha :signLOL:

I bought it from a lad in Montrose up in Scotland. It's had a few owners since I had it, and it shows!

It's going to have a full rebuild anyway so any probs will be taken care of! Got to try and keep the build cost low this time, but I'm weak and need shiny parts in my life! :D

Oh you do do you? Can you come and take the one away from outside my house that's been abandoned since 2 weeks before Christmas! :mad: Council, Police, DVLA don't seem to care or want to get it moved on! Looks tidy enough for a J Plate XSI
