Yup. Wasn't overly impressed that I had to do it over my home network, as it meant pulling my networked home cinema apart to borrow the bits required to do it. Done now, though and it sounds pretty damn good compared to the weedy TV speakers.

Had to got to ScrewFix paid a bit more  :ashamed: , trying to find a 2.5 tonne trolley jack and axle stands on a Sunday at 4.30pm was just about nigh on impossible.
God bless the web-o-tron  :notworthy:
It just about sums up my forward planning  :stupid:

Well, on the 26th April we completed on our new house. Was a very exciting day. Very tiring. 3x LWB Transit Jumbo van loads, wife and i only had help on the last load (due to our massive US style fridge/freezer).

Waking up to this view from the front door every day.

Spent a day painting 2 walls in the garage. 1 more to do when we get around to it. There will be a toy in here at some stage. But its still used for storage and priority is to pay off the A3 first.

I also brought 3x 6ft strip lights for the garage, along with associated wiring, clips and junction box. Getting a sparky to "sign it off" in the next few weeks when i have run the cable and installed the lights.

Congrats Luke!  :happy2:

Thanks Nathan. Currently battling with dust, they are still building a lot of houses on site, and heavy gear and dumper trucks go past our house daily. The dust sucks onto our drive like a vortex.  :sad1: The car had a few mm of dust on it the first week we were there, and i hadnt sorted the garage out or even unpacked my pressure washer. In a rush, i took it to a local jetwash. You can guess the rest. It needs some loving now.

It can fall down for all i care, its under warranty.

Since the pictures were taken we have a proper layer of tarmac on the driveway.

Spent close to £1k on bits and pieces for the house already i reckon. Just custom made blinds and various trips to homebase/b&q/ikea etc. And also had to spend £800 on some groundwork in the garden to have a slab base laid for our dog kennel, and a gravelled/fenced off area for the dogs. Not to mention the £720 the kennel cost us. Jeesh..........good job we have been saving for the house for a while.

Moved to talktalk for my broadband  :scared:

i paid in total £27 for line rental and broadband TOTAL for the year...so couldnt say no.

Received their "router" which sync's 4mb less than BE or Virgin ever did so bought a Draytek Vigor 120 as they use Infineon chipsets and the equipment at the exchange does too, all in all 0.5mb more than i ever got with any ISP and 5ms less ping.
