I realise its the Halfords kit, I guessing is a red primer, red base and clear lacquer, Is that correct?

When I ordered one for my car from the dealer it just came as 1 red touch up. I am tempted to go and get the Halfords kit.

Had a gone with it, you can either use a brush, which is much finer then the Vw touchpen, which if you've used one before can put too much paint down for such small chips as per the pic above. That nozzle gives extremely small amounts which is ideal.

I need a polisher machine to do this properly and to help level the paint, but after a quick go,the front end looks much happier. Well worth the money IMO.

Saint steve

It's a red primer, tornado red only in each pen, the 3rd one is a black gloss one I bought separately due to my car being both colours

I've always mixed the lacquer with the paint before touching up. That's after touching up and finding tardis just stripped it back out!

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

Perhaps my most boring and sensible car related purchase ever, but the sun kept getting in my little lads eyes so he's worth it

Followed up with something a little more interesting but sadly not mine  :sad1:
Was tasked with sorting out my father in laws retirement present so at least i'll get to drive it pretty often, finally found one yesterday for a pick up next sunday and i'm probably more excited than him tbh!  :jumping:

This arrived at my warehouse today.

For all those that drive a Gti these wont be that interesting but from driving on SE seats this will transform my drive until the MK6 GT grey tartan come down in price.
They are GT/sport seats from an 58 plate Jetta sport at a bargain price and the fronts have draws if anyone is interested?

They are clean but I will still give them a thorough clean before they go in the car. Sorry for the dark pics
Also purchased spline bit kit from ebay for the bolts to fit once clean.
I have also spent a small amount on a full set of Charleston wheels. It may mean that my VZ's might be for sale.

Mk5 Jetta 2.0l Tdi 140 se Apex RDX coilovers, BBS VZ003, Skyline tails, Genuine Xenons more to come

....If the winters got so constantly bad and long down here on the south coast, this is exactly what I would want! A short wheelbase Landy in metallic RED (of course!).

^^ It's certainly an unusual colour for a Landy but looks great in the flesh  :happy2:
Should come in handy if the weather turns snowy but it's mainly a toy as my father in law has wanted a 90 since being a lad so this is his retirement present to tinker and polish
