Do they fit the r32 calipers?

Yeah straight fit, 1.5kg lighter than the 345mm version

 :surprised: :surprised:

Per disc?

Apparently so  :happy2:

so these will fit mkv GTI 06
but not std 345 mm that is on GTI
but 340 mm so slightly smaller and 1.5 k lighter

so whats with the 5mm saving just weight not stopping power ?

is the link the correct ones to order

thanks in advance

They fit under r32 calipers. Not stock GTI (5,6,7) calipers.

You lose 5mm of diameter which is unswept so theoretically won't negatively impact on braking force.

so no good for my std calipers thats came from factory

the only way to get these discs 340 30 is to get r32 rs3 calipers put on ?

what should i replace my disc with ?

std orig 312 25

or 345 25 ( which i think will need bigger calipers r32 etc... )

thanks for your help and advice

You are confusing so many types of brakes.

Standard calipers in GTI =312mm
R32 calipers =345mm OR 340mm disc.

Rs3.... Don't worry about them.

Don't actually know when I'll need them, but they'll be there when I do. Car is approaching 60K and the front discs only have a small lip so far...

Not a massive purchase.

With the recent rain then freezing temperatures the rubber door seals have been sticking to the doors making then difficult to open sometimes, hopefully a liberal application of Einszett Gummi Pflege Stift will sort it out :)

I tried that, waste of time for me sorry to say! DuPont Krytox GPL105 is what you need, expensive at around £30 for 15ml but it is used on aircraft door seals so if its good enough for 35000ft and -60c then it'll do me! VW also sell it primarily for EOS roof seals but it works wonders elsewhere too. VW part #G 052 172 A1. Cheaper elsewhere though. I believe GBR Technology resell it in a foam applicator bottle which is ideal for rubber seals.

Looks like there's a weeks lead time on those 340mm discs. Anyone else get their email?
