Not a massive purchase.

With the recent rain then freezing temperatures the rubber door seals have been sticking to the doors making then difficult to open sometimes, hopefully a liberal application of Einszett Gummi Pflege Stift will sort it out :)

Looks like there's a weeks lead time on those 340mm discs. Anyone else get their email?

Same here, luckily I'm in no mad rush for it so happy to wait seeing as they were a bargain

I try not to use my brakes. Once I've got the small moon moving I need to keep up the momentum!

A big-boy's toy:

Oh, and a simulator to learn on. Don't want it to turn into an expensive pile of parts!

It's replaced a well specd 2009 pro which had 8gb ram so I wasn't expecting it to be too different but tbh they've really moved the game on.  It's so much smaller, not just in thickness but width and depth.  The old one feels like a brick in comparison.  Load times are none existent with everything, it's all instant.  These SSD drives certainly make a difference.  My old mac would take a few mins to complete booting, opening spotify, sonos program and be ready to use.  This one is ready to go in 12 seconds.

Battery is lasting 7-10 hrs in normal internet use with full brightness which is almost 3 times as long as my old one.

And the retina display is incredible, probably the best bit!  Pin sharp, lovely and bright and even after just an hr of use, looking at the old screen looked like it was some really low res phone screen from 10 years ago.  It looked so nice before, it's amazing how quickly you adjust to a new standard.

I was a bit reluctant to be treated to what felt like a pretty unnecessary gift but no one is prising it out of my fingers now.  My apple love is restored after losing a lot of love for them over the past few years of poor iPhone releases :notworthy:

I also brought the u13 from Red5 but broke it in less then 10 minutes flying it into a tree showing my son how to fly it :signLOL:

The two copters can be repaired for £4.99 as they do a rotor spares kit and are not throw away as some helicopters are.

Great fun, looking foward to taking the big one out, but it's been blowing 80-90mph recently so best not
