Ha ha, cheers. Na we're pretty certain we'll wait a while before kids. Still got to live the rest of our twenties. ;-)

First on the list is a driveway (monoblock probably) then a garage in the near future.

Or another house with garage.

Talk about a slippery slope!

Driveway on a Flat ?

Where I am from in Central Scotland, some house designs allow the bottom flat to have the front garden.
I guess it is similar in Edinburgh?

RE: squealing brakes...

If you're metal to metal, pad to piston, then this stuff really helps. 3M brake shims and Ceratec. I used to have to use these when running naughty pads that don't come with backing.

Not sure about shims but i swear alex used that ceratec all over the pads.

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

It's a resonance thing usually, moving around against the piston before you apply enough pressure to stop it doing so. Ceratec won't really help with that.

Where I'm from, every flat around Edinburgh is built to a completely different design. No two the same.

We've got a 1930's, built by the coal board, what i call a 'two-up, two-down four in a block'. We are 1st floor so get equal rear garden but also the side of the house/flat. It's about 4(ish) metres wide so plenty room. The neighbour we are beside has already gone for a mono block driveway so we will just be keeping up with the Jones'!

Wikipedia has kinda heard of them: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cottage_flat

Indicator rear cover, the final part needed to fit my Xenon headlights.

Ordered 28/12/13 and arrived Friday. Apparently VW, Germany no longer hold these and they need to be ordered direct from the supplier who will only do a production run for a minimum of 100. So i bought two
