....Wehaaay! Going back to your roots, Ian. I saw a recent photo of you somewhere on the hyperinterwebbynet and you look well, if still a little scary! Good for you.

Bought this on pre-order a few weeks ago - A no-brainer for me as a wildlife photographer (amateur) and sold my much loved Canon 70D to help fund it and because I don't need two camera bodies.

Has a very tough weatherproof magnesium body structure....

These 2 arrived from Bold Sport today, 15LED reverse bulbs. Not bad, only took less than 2 weeks to arrive.

More pictures once fitted.

I have a similar thing but it no longer seems as bright and ocasionally flashes :-/

Let me know how you get on with these please dude

The Felt ended up being sent back as the spokes in the rear wheel came loose twice and Wiggle didn't really resolve  the problem.

Replaced with this.

Adapter for external Mic. Cheapest I found (genuine) was Amazon & had a fiver off code too, £10 delivered :)

Also bought a 3M extension to put the Mic by the exhaust.

Going to try a splitter with a mic by the exhaust & one in the car & see how it turns out.

After a week or two of ice/frost and sketchy roads I managed to pick up 4 good is new Nokian WR A3's. A (Gumtree) bargain at £70 each. Although they're 225/40/18 and I bought 17 alloys for winter. Time to punt them on Gumtree then.

I've had Nokians before. Cannot rate them highly enough. :happy2:

After struggling to get on with the G16 I bought before going on leave and realising I am a full frame whore I ended up buying a Canon 6D from a photograph store not far from where we are staying. With Double cash back Canon are offering in Oz and reclaiming the GST at the airport the camera will be nearly £600 cheaper than what you would expect to pay in the UK. The camera and lens come with a 12 month seller warranty should anything go wrong.

And I could figure out how to resize a photo with the photo bucket App I would be a happy bunny!

....The Canon 6D has a good reputation. And once you have bought into a well established DSLR system like Canon or Nikon, there are so many options. Plus the user interface is common to most of the bodies so that a future change is relatively easy. depending what you like to photograph you don't necessarily need to change. I hope you enjoy it  :happy2:

....Yep, you know me Rich - I have always been a flash git. IIRC you shoot Nikon? I'm really enjoying this Canon 7D2 but there is still a learning curve.

Cheers RR. I have been a 5D MK2 user for a while but Canon couldn't get it back to me (out for a service) in time for my trip to Oz so i bought the 6D out here :)

Yeah they can be pretty quick. I kind of want to slam on some nice wheels but then I kind of want to put some all terrain tyres on it and take it off roading  :signLOL:

Robin. I've got a canon 5Dii which lives in the cupboard. Just don't have time to use it at the moment. Too busy with work.
