Old aerial views of the uk?

hi guys im on abit of a random hunt of aerial views of my local area but not like your google maps stuff like older just to see how things have changed ect, does anybody know of any good websites that have these? i just cant seem to find any! any help would be great!

There was a very large book produced several years ago, it covered the whole of the UK and was just page after page of Aerial photos of the country. Came in a large plastic case and was about £100, but the Book People did have it listed for a lot less, must be about 8-10 years old now I think.   Would that be any good or are we talking 1930-40's.
