Flies in my headlight housing?

Hi all

Ive just noticed that there are lots of flies in my mk5 headlights, i'd really like to empty them and clean them while im at it but have no idea what i need to do to clean them!

any help please?

In the headlight unit? Did you make a little window and leave it open?!?!?!?

The headlamp unit should be sealed almost completely. The only time when they would be exposed is when changing bulbs. Are you definitely sure they are in and not on the unit?

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

And are the caps on the back of the unit in place?

The only thing I could suggest without taking the headlights off the car is to get the Hoover on them. Might do the trick

I have them in one of my head lights when the dealers replaced a buld and left the cover of..been in their 4 years now and are just about disappeared now

Hey Guys,

I had a spiders web in mine!

I blasted it with a air line, done the trick and now look as it should  :happy2:

Got to be worth a go?......... I worked for me

i have a spider called graham that lives inside my wing mirror  :grin:

industrious little fella considering i remove the web across the mirror daily for him just to rebuild it. I'm not allowed remove it as my daughter wont let me... impressive watching him hang on mid repair whilst bombing down a dual carriageway too  :laugh:
