Clutch pedal movement ??
« on: May 20, 2010, 05:19:07 pm »
Hi guys new here , just bought a gt tdi, got gti bumpers to go on and looking at coilovers and a remap, but before I go further I need to sort the basics.
When under load the clutch pedal moves down a fraction, throttle off and it moves back up ! the clutch is light and the bite is about 3 "s from the floor, come to a stop and sometimes will stall as if the clutch is not down enough, also going to park sometimes difficult to get out of reverse and into first. We have bleed the clutch, clutch and slave was replaced last year, I am getting a little frustrated with this , as the car is great except this.
Any ideas ???

difficulty engaging gear, points to misaligned linkage / clutch not fully disengaging.

odd height changes on and off load would suggest something actually pulling or hitting the area or twisting a loose plate with lots of engine rock (from load) , are your engine mounts ok / connected ?
does it do it out of gear with the engine revved?
