Glaze
« on: May 23, 2010, 10:22:23 am »
Morning guys.I am going to seal and glaze my car
I have got CG EZ creme glaze and wanted to know
if I can put Jetseal 109 on after it? I have heard that
some sealer don't bond with some glazes
Thanks
Chip :happy2:

If they're by the same company (in this case Chemical Guys), they should complement each other nicely. It's when you have products from different manufacturers that you encounter problems.

Always remember:
wash
clay
polish
glaze
seal
wax

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

Always remember:
wash
clay
polish
glaze
seal
wax

Can someone write a little more info next to each of the above bullet points for me and list a good product for me to buy? For example WASH: this is cleaning the mud off the car - use something like turtle wax.....

I've spent a lot of time cleaning cars, however just a wash and wax - never a clay, glaze or even seal...! But would love to give this detailing a try!

Thanks guys!

^^^This is one of the improvements I want to make on here.  Some simple detailing guides.

I can simplify my thread and create a quick cleaning guide if you want?

e.g.

  • Cleaning

- Wash with two buckets (one to rinse your mitt and one with soap in) use some mild shampoo made for car cleaning. Put mitt into wash bucket, wash car, place mitt in rinse bucket, then back into wash bucket and repeat. Do the top of the car first then the bottom.
