does the forge DV actually give off the fluttering noise ? Will i get the noise from the ITG on its own ?
I think its hurdys car that has an awesome sounding flutter,

I seen a new rs 500 going round knockhill recently and the flutter from that sounded great

Hi gobbler

Hurdy has an EVOMS intake - They are probably the loudest and the 'flutter' sounds like a laughing hyena.

The sound you hear will depend on other mods - They all contribute.

I discovered today by going through tunnels with my sunroof open, that my Twintake makes that 'whipping' sound very loudly when suddenly getting off the throttle. Lots of breathing sounds too.

Ahh cheers mate, ive pretty much got everything mod wise now i guess it will be a case of fitting the ITG and see what happens !
i really want that loud fluter like hurdy has, if it means buying an evoms then thats what ill need to do,
i just find it a bit weird that that all intakes give off differant noises, i would of thought that they would of all sounded the same with varying volumes.

 :happy2:

Oh just wondering robin can you remember which topic hurdy posted his lap of the ring, ive been looking for it today but cant find it, i want a listen to the evoms again.

the noise your on about is called compressor stall, its air going back through the turbo when the throttle is closed, wastegate chatter is a common misconseption

....It's simple sound waves or frequencies which fundamentally are dynamic vibrations. The sounds are shaped or influenced by factors which are purely physical: Tubes and sound reflective or absorbant surfaces for example. Same as music: Listen to one of your favourite songs and become aware of the mixture and then listen to a remix of the same song - Different result from the same ingredients.
