plasma cutter

thinking of buying one of these for work but i will only be using it to to cut exhausts off...As any body used one and what is the best one for me to buy

they are to akward to get in Jay in some exhausts..if your cutting out a panel on a car they cut nice and don't warp the panel as well as my mate might be going halves on one

I used to use one years ago.  Pretty good tool but perhaps a little OTT for cutting pipework off  :evilgrin:

Basically just an arc which then uses gas to blow through the cut.  Bit like an electric version of an Oxy Acetylene/Oxy Propane torch.

You'll get quite a lot of spatter and because it uses electric you'll need to disconnect the battery etc everytime.

I've seen chain cutters which are good for taking exhausts off.

i have a chain cutter as well for cutting exhausts os...maybe a bit ott but the fun you can have with them :evilgrin:
