« on: May 23, 2010, 11:12:41 pm »
Hey all,

I picked this up yesterday.  I'd been looking for one with this spec for a while.

Looking forward to being a member of the forum, I've already asked a few questions.

Here are the details:

Standard and unmodded
DSG
Full Leather
18" Monza II
39k Miles

SCweeetness.   :pomppomp:

Just one question on the last pic you can see the door colour all the way down. It doesn't show on my car, not sure if it should or maybe it did on earlier models. Can anyone enlighten me.

Re. The red line going all the way down:  Nothing seems to be missing, but I could be wrong.  My car is one of the earlier models, it's a 55 plate.

With regards to how much I want to spend, I'm not too sure right now.

I was thinking about going for the Blue Fin stage 1.

Not too sure about anything else performance related, because for right now the performance seems adequate.

The really appealing thing about the Blue Fin remap is the "off and on ability".

With regards to inside, I want to get full iPod functionality; and as one of the standard HUs buttons doesn't work, I was thinking about replacing it with a single DIN aftermarket one.  Specifically: http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/alpine-cda-117ri.html

What are the best single DIN facia adaptors out there, and how good do they look in the dash?

Having finished the post, I'm starting to wonder as to whether this should be in the ICE section of this forum!

Yeah, that's the first thing I noticed. I thought the door was slightly open, but if not then it is rather unusual.

Again, it looks like how that's how it ought to be i.e. no obvious bit (e.g. a plastic strip) missing.

But am curious to see other internal shots that are either different or the same.

Here are some more photos I've taken of the area in question.  All feedback is appreciated:

That's my working theory too.

When I look at the closed door with the naked eye, I don;t really see any red, unless I move in a bit and focus on seeing it.

Whereas when I take a photo with flash, the red really pops out at you.

Still a bit concerned that something may be missing though.

Do all the other photos look in order?
