hello everyone....

have now finished performance mods(remap.intake.full miltek)on my silver edition 30, and am now looking at alloy wheels.

my currents faves are 19" bbs ch's ,so contemplating purchasing a set, but not 100% sure .

would apreciate your views and suggestions

Been done a million times, but for good reason, they look great, but they cant look much different to what you already have, if you get your ride height correct 18's can look just as good as 19's.

My only thoughts on this would to be careful not to ruin the ride with the low profiles on the 19's, esp with the quality of our roads. The 18's might give a better ride but then as said, you'd need to get the height right to look good.

I'm a big fan of the look on 19's but having had 19" BBS LM's on my RS4 with 265/30/19 tyres the ride was very harsh and any bumps or holes were quite a thud that made me cringe every time

As for alternatives, i still dont want to change from my Monza 2's, i sometimes consider a change, then i clean them and see them shine in the sun and know they're here to stay - for now at least

With all those performance mods on the ED30, why not go for performance lightweight alloys?

18" alloys would handle better than 19" alloys.

in my limtied experience 18s and better tyres will b so much better than 19s and low or even stretched tyres in both feel and the performance....and hey just being able to chuck it around corners etc

19s in front of 18s all day long for me and unless you are going for a stretched look, just make sure you stick to a sensible width and offset - 8 or 8.5 width with an ET between 44 and 51 with 225 or 235/35x19 tyres.  And you can't go wrong with CHs.

OZ Alloys are highly regarded and are generally speaking very light weight.

My personal preference is between the Ultraleggeras and if your budget allows, the Alleggeritas.

If you are happy to keep your Pescara's then perhaps a matt graphite or black set of alloys would be a nice alternative.  I think darker alloys on a silver ED30 looks fantastic.  

These alloys are not only a different design to the Pescara's but if you buy a darker set they are a different colour as well.  I was thinking of doing this and was toying with running a darker set in the winter with perhaps winter tyres and then keep the Pescara's for the summer.

i like both the ones you suggested, just been looking on oz racing website massive selection .

seen a wicked set called "superturismo gt" in black ..

your dead right too will be an expensive mod but well worth it i think !!!

I have 2 sets of Team Dynamic's Pro Race 1.2's

A set of 8 x 18's in Anthracite would look good on a silver car.

These are lightweight, strong alloys that have a proven track record as they have been used in the BTCC
