advice on MK1's or MK2's....
« on: May 25, 2010, 09:12:03 pm »
hello. we are thinking well hoping that my misses can find work a bit closer to home, she currently commutes 30 miles into London and isnt overly happy about it. the plan is to sell her nice and reliable new car and find work locally and have a really nice MK1, she wants a clipper but im not sure the insurance could be higher? the plan is to find her a job then get a rally nice car that wont have to be up and down the moterway getting ruined. does anyone have any tips on what to look for on the MK1's or 2's. it will eventually get resprayed and slammed and thats about it really so we want to know how to look for a good example without getting ripped off, any help would be really appreciated.

thanks wigit, ive been desperate to get my hands on a quality MK1 since my uncle used to go to all the shows when i was younger, he had the most amazing metalic green one with the widest wheels i was only very young at the time and sadly i cant ask him for help as he passed away years ago. my misses loves the MK1's too thats why we were saying we need to ditch the new car and get her a local job and only drive slowly so theres no stone chips! we are getting a garage too!
