VWR exhaust
« on: May 27, 2010, 03:41:09 am »
before i go and order my remus exhaust, i was just looking on the VWR website and noticed that there exhaust is cheaper than remus. dose anyone have the VWR one fitted and is it any good? i noticed on the picture they show you its fitted to a ed30, dose the ed30 have a different exhaust from a standard gti?

sorry about 100 questions in one, im just stuck in a pickle and trying to expand my VW experience. :rolleye:

What would this mean, more or less noise?  Or just effect the air flow?

I had the VWR tuning golf for a week or so and the exhaust note was very addictive, I think it sounds great!

Hmm, and was it louder or quieter than the equivalent Milltek, is the VWR one resonated on non?

More noise and slightly less back pressure, which makes it better for top end power.
Only 250.1bhp - but with that noise, who cares?

....I've had a Milltek smaller back box version for a year now. Am very pleased. Changed to smaller 'Res' box a few months since this pic was taken (back box is still the same).

I have a VWR system being fitted in 3 weeks time along with the rest of my Stage 2+ conversion. Not sure if you can wait that long for a review tho.

Unsure if you ever had this installed?  Any chance of some rear shots of the car with the VWR exhaust on?  Interested to see if the back box is visible or not from the rear view.

Yeh had this installed. Sounds fantastic. Not intrusive at all at a cruising speed, but sounds  when you give it some beans. I will get some photo's when I have a second. Sorry I have been pretty busy lately with work so not had much of a chance.

Would be much appreciated if you could.  I'm looking at going down the VWR route as their back box is shallower than the standard Milltek system.  Just want to see whether it is less obvious from the rear than the stock Milltek system.
