Battery low???

Hi all,

I have some problems starting my car lately. It's basically everytime the first time i start the car it takes him like 5 sec to start. Afterwards for every start it works just fine. I thought the battery might be the problem and need to be changed.

I have a photo while in ignition and the battery icon is red.



Does the battery need to be changed asap ?
How much does a battery cost + labour?

The red icon is meant to be there, a battery usually costs around £100 for a genuine VW one.

yeah the battery icon is there until you start the car,  have a read of this thread it maybe the common (with some cars) cold start issue

there is quite a lot of battery drain on our cars , the dvd sat nav is known to drain if the car is nt used for long ish periods of time

Thought really the problem was the battery
Got quite worried and thx for posting the url will have look at it.
It's a cold start but come on its almost summer and its about 10C even when's raining
