hi, my name's kieron, a newbie on here.....picked this up today from cheshire...53k..FSH etc. collected with a fresh cambelt and a fresh service.

thanks....got a few questions as i am starting to learn, lol... is there any differences or facelifts in the mk5 gti before the mk6 was introduced?
was thinking of a re-map and was wondering which to go for...revo,apr,bluefin.....

yeah, see it now.....just sold a modded astra gte turbo...running 288bhp and 314lbs torque in 900kg of shell. silly fast.. i now have a standard gte as shown above...
will a remap on a petrol help fuel economy or make it considerably worse? i know on a diesel its great as i had aan A4 diesel remapped anforgot what petrol stations looked like....

Hi Kieron and welcome
There weren't really any updates for the GTI, but they did do a couple of limited editions before the MKVI came in. These were the Edition 30 and the Pirelli Edition. Both similar in concept and were built with a K04 turbo instead of the K03 on the standard GTI. The K04 versions will map at stage 2+ anything up to 380bhp with full bolt-on's.
