Dual Mass Flywheel (DMF) - Anyone had one replaced?
« on: May 28, 2010, 05:13:04 pm »
Hi all

I would really appreciate hearing from anyone who has had their flywheel (DMF) replaced, whether under warranty or otherwise. Perhaps just a short reply with the symptoms, model (GTi or ED30) and dealer name.

This would be of great help – I have a noise when taking up drive, and the dealer has just replaced the clutch assy and release bearing, put it together but this noise is still present!! I am have not convinced them to drop the g/box again, so need some help.

Thanks very much, and if anyone is also prepared to give reg number I would appreciate a PM…

Thanks for the replies. Davie, do you know the dealer involved?

Anyone aware of any VW dealers who have replaced noisy DMF's?

Cheers!

Nottingham dealer, it was daybrook one, its not a mount, its a feature LOL, quite a few cars do it, some people have solved it by adding a ECS dog bone mount under the car

out of interest what is you actual issue ?
