At the risk of sounding like an old fart, we should not be encouraging new members who we dont know, too get an instant post count. The reason why we have the PM and for sale post count rule is to protect the members.  :happy2:

Sorry protect the members from what ??
I am a golf nut that has joined this site and was interested in a set of wheels in the for sale section , thats all.
How many blokes read the instructions, we usually struggle on because we dont need them lol

Protect them from people just signing up to sell fake stuff or just pretend to sell things!

10 posts makes it necessary for people to interact and gain trust

For all we know you could be a big hairy bloke who likes to groom Mk 5 enthusiasts with statements like "nice rimmage",  can i offer you some money for them.

On serious note you dont need to worry about the rules just follow them.
