Not got one but they do look good, BUT we don't have a clear engine cover like the R8 so not much point in my book ?.

I have that fitted and the coolant cap too!!!
i will put picks up later as the missus has the car just now
it fits on straight as long as its modified which most of them are
and yes they are safe

Did you specify what car it was for to the seller?
You have to do so as depending on what car you intend to use it on, he splits the cap and aligns the top part so that it'll sit correctly on your model car.

but put it on there will it be ok or can it be modifed myself.

The cap will be fine even though the top part it isn't ideally orientated.
You can try splitting the cap yourself but you can break the plastic in doing so as there's a "special" technique required.

i am a bit unhappy with it, myfault thou. i think i should have said it was for a mk 5 golf gti,
just took it for granted it would fit ok

For the extra cost of postage, you could try contacting the seller and ask him if he would be willing to "fix" you cap.

Not modded mate.  Just bought em and screwed em in.  I love the little touches

I got the Oil cap from awsome GTI and its a quater of a turn out, i did manage to split the cap but can't align it with the locators inside..........................
