Steven Gerrard to Captain England

Due to the departure of Rio ( who I feel sorry for and I reckon we will miss massively ) Steven Gerrard will now captain the side.

Hopefully that will make him raise his game and steer the side to victory.

Personally I think he should have been the captain all along.

I agree i think the armband will inspire Stevie G heres hoping anyway!!  :drinking

Not terrible news.

Unfortunate for Rio but I'd rather him than Rooney, Frank or JT for example.
Terry + Carragher or Terry + King will be more than sufficient I'd like to think.
