Newby says Hi - Why havent i been here before!

Hi everyone!
Well I have had my Gti from new for about 5 years. I have been lurking around another forum (Tyresmoke) since i bought the car and it seems all the other users have now come here :happy2:

Blown away by the knowledge here and have many new ideas to mod a few bits. Love the rns510 retro fit and camera idea.

To be honest so far after reading some of the posts here i have:
1. Managed to work out why my coil pack went - no more engine washing with the oil cap rebber seal removed.
2. Spent far too much money on new modding bits.
3. Found a possible solution to my squealing brakes.
4. Tried to convince Mrs Bodger that we need an RNS 510 and then a reversing camera,
5. Worked out that I am not the only GTI mad person out there!

The how to guides here are great and really add value to this site :congrats:

I don't know which neck of the woods you live in but if you get the chance, go to one of the meets or events (GTI International?) and put faces to some of our weird names. Everyone is very friendly - It's a great community :happy2:
