Regular feature of the crap sky boxes in my experience. It freezes now and again (your stuck on the channel you were watching at the time and you can't switch off or change channels)
so we kill it at the mains and leave it for 5mins to let the computer reset itself.
As for last night we lost the signal due to electrical thunderstorm in area but it shouldn't have caused your problem tho.

Yeah when the fans inside start going mega loud like it's jumped from 1 bar of boost to 2 bar it's a sign its gonna stop working. Hope yours has not truly killed itself!

The noise is just the fans, it needs a forge twintercooler
Just ask to be put straight intouch with the cancelations department then when you get through tell them replace it or i am off but also tell them you are thinking about moving to them for internet.

I've just ordered the new 1TB Sky+HD box. Here's hoping I don't let myself in for a world of pain as the Sky+HD box I have now works fine.

If Sky comes out Matt to fix. Generally if your having lots of stuck on standby issues. You need the Dish checking for correct Lnb/dish combo, and also have the Twin sat feeds changed. They cause stuck in standby issues.
