Help needed, leather top for 245C arm-rest

Hi guys,

I have been trying for awhile to change the cloth top from my arm-rest to leather, something the dealer were unable to figure out when they fitted the part on purchase.

As per several posts on here I purchased 1K0 864 245 arm-rest upper with fabric code 74F Anthracite and this should just have clipped on top of my arm-rest in exchange for my cloth one.

However when I came to fit this last weekend I found this instead! 


1K0 864 209 C

1K0 864 245 C

And this doesnt just have a simple clip mounting, and looks as though the entire lower and upper arm-rest need to be removed in one go! 

The unit also squeeks alot and I have had to grease it up several times, anyone got any ideas,
a) what the hell the dealer has fitted, and
b) whats the best option for me to get a leather top on this bad boy?

I had the same problem in the end I just sold the whole armrest and bought a leather one. Coincidentally I have a leather one up for sale!

No ive got all the bits, im just trying to convert the cloth one pictured to a leather version, I how-ever bought the 1K0 864 245 B 74F top and if my understanding is correct I have a C version arm-rest, which I cant just clip the top off of as per your diagram, it appears to come complete with rails to extend the arm-rest forwards.

So since I cant clip my leather top on (1K0 864 245 B 74F) trying to figure out if I will be able to get a leather top for this one if it can be changed, I would assume I would need 1K0 864 245 C 74F if this part exists?

Or if I would be better to change the lid mechanicals part 10 in your diagram to the B revision which I would assume is 1K0 864 209 B

Do others on here who have the arm rest have the ability to extend the arm-rest forwards or is it just up and down?

nope iv got the leather coverd armrest and it extends back n forth mate

Camel do the part number ive assumed appear in ETKA?  And if you have the right version whats the price?

1K0 864 245 C 74F which should be part 15.

And if you can how much should part 10 I assume 1K0 864 209 B be?
