Thoughts: hardware looks as sexy as fsck. The fact that metal strips on the side act as the antenna really hit the nerd in me. That's some super elegant design; and I don't even mind too much when Jobs compares it to a Leica.

Chip is a based on a Coretex A8; I got a Coretex devkit about a year ago and was very impressed. Long battery life. That super sexy industrial design again. Ultrahires screen and a proper camera built in. Edit video clips on the fly. Oh my. I <3 HTC but they really got nothing on this. I just wonder how long it'll be before someone puts Android on it...

looks good to me and I will be most certainly purchasing it the day it comes out  :happy2:

but why oh why would you want to put android on it     it would be like buying a ferrari then swapping the engine with one from a lawnmower  :stupid:

I have the 3GS but not a mahoosive fan of it. Great for general larking about and the average user but for me, not what I want in terms of functionality.

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

24th thanks Carl   :happy2:, especially since i lost mine which I'd had since 3g release day the weekend before last  :sad1:

but this looks immense, alot more business like than the 3g/s and you can record in 720psHD and then edit your clips with imovie on the phone, they are claiming a 300hr standby and the screen display is better than oled

doubt it will be cheap, but certainly worth it, just pleased i have got £350 insurance payout coming for my old one  :happy2:

Pre-Orders start on 15th June.

Thing is your going to have to get a New Contract as they take Micro-Sims so not as if you can buy a handset and put in your old card.

They are priced in the US at

16GB - $199
32GB - $299

With a contract so no doubt i would expect around the same in the UK but swap the $ for a £ symbol.

I'm locked into a contract with O2 until feb 11 so wont be getting the new iPhone anytime soon
However... I am massively excited about getting OS4 on my 3GS  just the ability to change the background will bring a breath of fresh air to the boring current iPhone OS

Depending on your contract you will be able to upgrade anything up to 6 months early i would imagine as that is what O2 did when the 3GS was released.

Basically it was.

£35 P/M contract - Upgrade 1 Month early and new contract for 24 Months
£45 P/M contract - Upgrade 3 Months early and new contract for 18 Months
£75 P/M contract - Upgrade 6 Months early and new contract for 18 Months

So i would expect something similar this time round.

Well as it's available on O2, Vodafone, Orange & Tesco i would Imagine the iPhone 4 will be available on all from launch. At least the Major 3 if not Tesco.
