just the ability to change the background will bring a breath of fresh air to the boring current iPhone OS

A jailbroken 3g / 3gs has an infinite number of themes / backgrounds etc

I think it will just be a case of swap the $ for £ when it comes to UK pricing

Will soon find out next Wednesday when Pre-Orders start.

Gets released in UK on 24th June

iOS4 released on 21st June

relly, now where do i pre order lol

Pre-Orders start on 15th June.

Thing is your going to have to get a New Contract as they take Micro-Sims so not as if you can buy a handset and put in your old card.

They are priced in the US at

16GB - $199
32GB - $299

With a contract so no doubt i would expect around the same in the UK but swap the $ for a £ symbol.

Yeah but now users won't have to Jailbreak them to get this feature and others.

I have Jailbroken 2 out of the 3 iPhones i have had (16gb 3G & 16gb 3GS) when i got the 32GB 3GS i didn't bother as i found JB to be extremely resource & power hungry.

I also found a lot of the cracked apps to be buggy. In the end i was only doing it to Unlock it and just because i could. However O2 now provide free unlocks for Contract customers so i have no reason to JB.

You can keep your No. on any other type of contract so i don't see any reason why this shouldn't be the same. Its not as if you need a PAC if you are staying with the same Network.

Fair do's.  I hope im able to get something sensible for the iPhone 4 when I go to Germany.  Pay as you go is the best option for me at the moment.  Even with the likes of vodaphone passport etc.  So Ill have an antagonising wait for the iPhone 4  :sad1:

You Buy a contract from O2 (or whoever you are going with) you get a new number

You request a PAC Code from T-Mobile. This is usually sent by Text

You have 2 choices you can do this about 2 weeks before you get the phone and have the Code to take to whichever network you go to and the number is changed within a couple of days.

Or you can Buy a new contract from O2,Voda etc and then there is an option online to enter the PAC Code ( or ring customer services ) and then the number swaps over within a couple of weeks.

I did the Second when my wife went from Voda to O2 and the whole process took a week (3 days to get PAC and 4 Days for O2 to change the number over)

You may get fobbed off by T-Mob saying they dont have to give it you. It is a legal requirement that if you ask for it they have to release it to you so dont take no for an Answer :happy2:
