Tyre recommendations

ive found the vredesteins o be very good, however vRScarl had 4 vreds previously, and is now running the michelin pilot sport 3's on, and thinks the michelins are in another league performance wise.  i might give these a try, or maybe the kumho v70 hard compounds

If it's between the vred and paradas I'd say the vreds will suit your needs much better than the paradas.

Paradas are notoriously sh*te in the wet.

I've got Falken FK452s which were £161 fitted for 18s, I like them.

That's a bit steep considering you can have a PS3 fitted for that price.

Just replaced the front Exalto's with PS3's have to say much improvement! Deffo would reccomend them. Cant comment on milage yet tho im afraid.

Having had Conti's, Bridgestone Potenza's, Goodyear F1's, GY F1 Asymmetrics, and now Dunlop Maxx TT (rear axle only so far), I find the F1 asymmetrics the best all weather (snow excluded). I'm not so fussed about mileage as long as it's not as low as a trackday tyre - I'd rather have a tyre which has good handling properties.

Personally I'd consider Vredestein Sessanta's but am more likely to try Michelin PS3's after my Dunlops. So far, I haven't experienced any of the reported criticisms of the Maxx TT's.

There's no doubt in my mind that asymmetric tread patterns deliver much better performance for fast road use.

I don't know what the prog will be like, but tonight on Five TV @ 7:30pm "How Do They Do It?" includes a piece about state-of-the-art tyres.

Just purchased today 2 more Vred's Sessanta's from peoples recommendation to Camskill.co.uk .

My local stockist cant get hold of them for at least 5-6 weeks!!!.

that would work out about £70 per tyre fitted which is really really cheap for an 18" 225 tyre, which to me says one thing.  im not a fan of skimping on tyres.

alot of gages will recommend what they make alot of profit on.  i decide on what tyres i want before enquirin and then barter from there onwards.

Ooops! I just posted in the wrong tyre thread.

Er.. It appears that most tyre manufacturers very specifically test the road noise of their products. So how come tyres still have road noise. Though I've never noticed any on my car, only R888's on Hurdy's car.
