Sounds like a vacuum leak.. Check the PCV and DV before anything else..

can this be checked using vcds? Or do I have to visually inspect them?

For the PCV pull off the recirculation hose at the inlet manifold end (while the car is running) and block off the inlet manifold with your thumb, if the idle stabilises then thats your issue..

The DV (unless its really bad) wont cause as much of an issue, but unfortunately the only way to tell conclusively is to pull it off and inspect the rubber diaphragm..

If its quite a big judder it could be  the dual mass flywheel maybe?!

Since I've had the Bluefin remap, my car does the same when stationary, not all the time though and only very slightly so could be the remap as never noticed it before remap? (if you have one ). My car is 2 litre diesel though, not petrol...

No. was back in last week for them to do some other checks. They have had to get in touch with vw about it as they dont no what it is. they gona be ringing me on monday. seems to be getting worse, alot more noticeable now.

He's right. Another thread on here from Zubgti, with same complaint, and Pcv valve faulty that cured it  :happy2:
