How do you remove the numper plate thingy on the front?

Hey troops was gonna get cracking on making the front reg plates magnetic, was just wondering how the reg plate holder comes off, I am assuming its the 4 wee clip things, can u get them out, with out breaking them?
just incase the magenetic plan goes wrong , lol.

How do you remove the number plate mount? - Drive through Wolverhampton!










....It's where mine removed itself. I think it's just screw held - Dunno as I never got the chance to find out. Someone will be along to tell you soon.

Take the front grill off the car first, by undoing the 4 screws then just tap the little plastic dowels out.  :happy2:

was actually ur tutorial that gave me the idea, was just unsure about the wee clips, do u need to squeeze them and push them through, or just hit them?
if the magnetic plan fails, wanna be able to use it again, lol.

I might have a bash at this too as i dont like that chunky number plate holder on the front - car looks much better with it all smooth!

Thats it been done, thanks to topcat for the info.  :happy2:




only used the 3 magnets, and pulls off fairly easy, when i get fancier plates made up I think I will alter it so it has 5 just to make sure.
went a wee drive, and its still on, so always a bonus, lol.

Not worried about the 4holes where the clips where as this will soon be carbon fibre.

all in all, a fairly easy mod that makes a fair difference.
