i was told that a netbook version of windows is not the full version that you would get on a laptop or desktop, i found this out when i was trying to update my firmware via bluetooth on my parrot hands free. i was using a netbook(wouldn't work) and had to go and get my laptop to get it to work.
My netbook happily runs VCDS - it has a Win7 Starter sticker on it (but I'm sure it says sommat else when it boots up though  :sad1:).

I fear the 'android' bit may be the issue - AFAIK, Ross-Tech only provide support for M$ Windoze operating systems - which is why you cant run it on a Mac (unless you then hack your Mac to dual boot to windoze).
