@jules86: a friend of mine bought them from ebay. You buy another DRL light that has LEDs on it, not simple yellow light. i don't know how to explain it better

Does this not throw up the light issue (on the display) as the car thinks the bulb is blown?

no. because the new DRL has some resitances included in it. It's hard to explain because my english is not good. it's plug and play

after you mount the DRL, you have to make some adjusments from VAG-COM on long coding. So that this DRL gets less intensity when you turn on the xenon light
