i have already ordered one on o2 and one on vodafone both 32gb versions.

i HATE the iphone but LOVE selling them on ebay to people who do like them and are willing to pay the extreme cost.

The 16gb's are currently up for £600/700!!

take in to account your 18-24 month contracts at a minimum £35pcm and the £200-£300 cost of the handset and you can sell them all day long on the bay for £600-700 at a loss  :stupid:

plus they will be available on pay-as-you-go from the offset..........

i hope you loose money  :happy2:

1. who said its a loss? i have the contracts anyway and pay that out every month. so all im doin is keeping my blackberrys (plus i discount on the tariff + phone price)

2.When they have no stock left they will also be worth more

3. typical iphone user cant get past that 1 button on the front

apple do not expect any supply issues with this handset, they are ready to ship upto 3million handsets per month  :happy2:

so good luck and i hope you enjoy those not so free minutes :drinking:

The £600 handset cost is a bit of a psychological barrier to say the least! I'm happier to keep the monthly cost lower though, plus there's a bit more freedom of who you use. I'll probably stick with O2 mind, unless Orange announce a better SIM only contract.

Does anyone happen to know if the carriers will provide a micro sim card version of your sim card, so that you can use it in the iPhone 4?

I phoned Vodafone and they were not sure on what was happening in regards to this.  Unsure if anyone has any information from the other carriers.

I have seen these SIM card cutters being advertised.  Don't know whether to give one a try with an old sim card i have and see if it works.   :scared:

From the O2 site:

Quote
Or, you can choose to pay the full Pay & Go price for an iPhone 4 and choose a Pay Monthly simplicity for iPhone tariff.

Do that and they'll give you the Micro SIM

My problem is that i am on a 12 month contract with 10 months remaining.  What i would like is Vodafone to simply provide me with a micro SIM card version of my SIM, i.e. so i keep the same number, etc.

I've just been reading the iPhone 4 thread on Hot UK Deals.

You gotta laugh at these dickheads who constantly slate Apple products.  Yes we know they are expensive but in general they are well made and stylish as well as very functional - They just do.

Lots of them have slated the price without really researching the prices of newly released SIM free phones of any brand, oh and of course they all have HTC's which are much better.

just got off the phone to 02 and they are sending me a new micro sim so i can carry on with my £20pcm  :happy2:

no more contracts  :star:

I wish I was so lucky - I spoke to someone at O2 and the impression they give is that they haven't a clue what is going on. As far as the person I spoke to knew the micro SIM cards would be available from the 24th at earliest. Not looking forward to having a shiny iPhone and not actually being able to use it for a few days.

I may try my luck again tomorrow!
