i m going to delete my account on this forum , i ve met some genuine car nuts on here and i ve met some that will only accept any thing which is what they have which is a real shame cause i thought forums where about seeking advice and experience from others not slatting any one that says some thing they dont want to hear

Sorry to hear that you feel you should leave especially as you have just taken delivery of a tasty new Porka! I hope you stick around fella its so much easier for me to blag passenger rides in tasty motors when you know the drivers!!

Shame you feel like that, I sort of see what you mean though (not from personal experience) from what I have read here and there on occasion.

I suppose sometimes when someone/thing gets your backup though its best to move on and forget about it, as long as your happy at the end of the day.

I've generally found this one of the friendliest forums around. You should try the landy forums, especially if you like to do things differently, like being attacked by a pool of hungry piranas!

I dont understand why do you want to delete your account and leave?
Stick around - even if its just for the random chat section? Thats what i do, and I dont give 2 sh*ts if people get sick of me (which they may well be!) lol.

Ian, I too will be sad to see you go as you have contributed greatly to this forum over the last few years.

It's a shame your views about anything other than what you are driving have not been unanimiously greeted by everyone else, but as this is a forum for predominantly for MK5 Golf GTI's this is something you have to expect.

I will freely admit that some of the things you have said recently have got my back up as I have felt them to be unecessary and in some cases down right rude, but I do not see this as a reason to leave, but that is your choice and yours alone.

....Am glad I saw this thread before you turned into a pumpkin at the midnight hour!

I can see that there won't be as much point spending so much time on this essentially GTI/2.0TFSI site but I wouldn't bother deleting because you might want to visit again for something.

Most of us who stick our necks out with our views can get 'attacked' occasionally, sometimes rightly but sometimes through being misunderstood or the prejudices of others which can't be shifted, but that's human nature and especially amongst blokes. This is a very friendly forum when you compare with some! Northloop in particular, but although I post there very little if at all now (pointless) I won't delete my profile or even log out.

I wish you safe journeys and much enjoyment of what is a stunning car in your Cayman  .
