Well a sitrep. The Cayman is a fantastic car, but with having the MK3 Golf, I found I was driving that more, and the Cayman was spending its time in the garage.
This is due to several reasons, I find the sports seats uncomfortable after 30 mins or so, due to an old back injury, which has flared up again recently (maybe due to the lack of lumbar?). Also getting in and out of it recently was a chore, due to the door opening not being too wide, and the restrictive cockpit. My physio has looked at my driving position, and she noticed the seating postion was offset to the right from the pedals, I had noticed this but was not really mindful of the effect it was having on my Roberta Flack.
I did some chatting with the long haired Sgt Major and also found out that she didnt like driving the Porker, or actaully being in it, she found it too pretentious, and didnt like the ride - least of my worries!
Anyhow, I have done a deal for the Porker and £500, and picked up a 4 month old 5K miles Scirocco R, rising Blue, LED RNS510, 19's, Rear parking, Folding mirrors, Dynaudio, and leather. List £35K........
The drive is totally different from the Cayman, but the lumbar support is a godsend, and nice to have RNS again, the Porker Satnag is awful to be truthful, and a £100 TomTom is a better bet, the Bose in the porker was good, but first impressions of the Dyanudio (Led Zep on loud) are good.
The Roc also came with a good plate too!#
Hence the sale of the MK3 too! one thing I will miss is the noise of that 3.4 flat six.
