iTunes 9.2 is released



Here are the updates/improvements, mostly related to iSO4 and iPhone 4:

Sync with iPhone 4 to enjoy your favorite music, movies, TV shows, books and more on-the-go
Sync and read books with iPhone or iPod touch with iOS 4 and iBooks 1.1
Organize and sync PDF documents as books. Read PDFs with iBooks 1.1 on iPad and any iPhone or iPod touch with iOS 4
Organize your apps on your iOS 4 home screens into folders using iTunes
Faster back-ups while syncing an iPhone or iPod touch with iOS 4
Album artwork improvements make artwork appear more quickly when exploring your library

Will do this tonight.

A point to note though - a fair number of people have complained that their systems are taking longer to boot up after installing the iTunes update.
Apparently this is due to iTunes Helper adding itself into the startup items, hence you may wish to remove this again. I dont see why it needs to be in startup items in the first instance??!

Or just install the GM seed (final beta released last week) which I've managed to obtain.

With iTunes 9.2 released its even easier (previously only possible using iTunes 9.2 beta on mac only).



 

Its a fairly hefty file so not sure how I could distribute.

The biggest features for me are:

- Portrait Screen Lock (for when you're lying in bed on Safari)

- SMS Character Count

- Multitasking (However many 3rd party apps aren't compatible yet)

- Threaded Emails

- Photo Geotagging (there is a cool interface with google maps which shows the locations of all your photos)
