Tesco Super Renamed - Momentum!

just been to fill up. any1 know if its same stuff & just new name?  always used tesco 99 (v-power to expensive!) :grin:

my mate was telling me this last night, he also said sainsburys has momentum now

Some of these brand names make me laugh. I don't suppose they'd sell many litres if it was called Cat's Piss.

Anyone old enough to remember the Put-A-Tiger-In-Your-Tank campaign?

not old enough for that im afraid!!!  i would deffo fill up all the time if it was called rocket fuel tho !!  :grin:

Saw it on monday when i went to fill up. threw me but then the trigger still said the old name so...

I was the operator of the Esso site in Romsey when they filmed this advert.

 


We were shut to the public for the day (no compensation for me!!) while they shot it. It was a very interesting experience watching the effort put into it, they spent hours for the shots which are only seconds in the end. There was never a Tiger on site though! :sad1:

Somebody I work with said yesterday that Sainsburys now sell 99 RON.

I have noticed that Tesco 99 has been rebranded. I thought it may be to try and boost sales by trying to disassociate it with the bad reputation of supermarket fuel.

Drop the price of 99 octane to current 5p less unleaded level, that would see an increase in sales :fighting:
