Well I thought it was the same, but this article says different.
German car magazine said
"(The GTI) sits 15mm lower than the standard car – the Edition 30 drops a further 19mm closer to the ground – and provides a pretty much perfect balance of handling and comfort."

Its been discusseed a fair bit, the suspension is exactly the same

Its just the wheels that make it look the ride height look different in my opinion
