Air con
« on: July 24, 2012, 07:17:55 pm »
Hi.Having a problem with my aircon.Garage have tried to re gas it but it won't take it.They have pluged it in to the diagnostic machine and have told me that the measure value block readings for the refrigerant pressure are at 37 bar and are creating
A compressor shut off status of 1 which = compressor off due to excess pressure but no pressure in the system. It means nothing to me.No fault codes either.Could anyone shed any light on this?

Check the cooling fans are working first we have them break all the time ( it causes over pressure of the A/C ) if the fans are working then it could be the pressure switch  :happy2:
They need to force gas in first,  we normally warm the A/C bottle if it's a hot day as the heat soak in the engine bay makes the gas had to shift into the system

Thanks for the reply.I have spoke to the garage this morning. They have said that it takes the gas but they think its got a leak. Its definitely no pressure but still show 37bar switched on or off.
Any help would be appreciated.
Cheers
