Someone just ran into the side of my car
« on: June 22, 2010, 02:05:55 pm »
 :sad1: ...........at the local recycling centre. Started to reverse out of the parking area looked over my left shoulder etc nothing behind me so sets off & bang.Some old bloke hits my right hand side bumper trying to get into another parking space.Why he never stoped & waited i don't know.Badley scratched,top & lower sections of bumper,mud flap badley scraped & when i pulled the arch liner back some damage to the metal work under there.
Been to my local VW & the price comes to £938.13 !!!!!!!!!.Waiting for another quote to come through.Spoke to my insurance company & if i go through there repair place it will be done quicker etc. Not happy with that tho as it's 25 miles away & i don't know the quality of there work so having to get two quotes & send them off if i want it done by a garage i know etc.
sh*t happens i suppose but all the bloke said was '' oh well these things'' happen. Just the wait now to get it fixed,  :sad1:will try & get some pics up later.

'' oh well these things''

I don't know how you kept your cool; that kind of attitude really aggravates me.

If someone reversed a lorry into his house I'm sure he wouldn't be happy with that kind of response.

Apologies for the aggression but I would of smashed his head in....and if he was too old I would of got me dad to do him!

On a serious note;

These things do just happen.......However I can visually see this in my own mind and I totally understand what type of old person this was the roads are full of them cantankerous Bas*ards the lot of them. :mad:

I really feel for you mate it knocks you sick when this happens.....OK nobody was hurt but it's still sickening.

Feel gutted for you. hope you get it sorted.

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

I was rescuing a kitten stuck up a tree at the time if you must know,
Then i helped an elderly gentleman acrooss the road and helped him into his car and guided him out as he was reversing but the the silly old spunker must of had his hearing aid turned off and hit somebody's VW Golf because he couldn't hear me shouting STOP!
Oh... err... ahh yes i have to be going now
