That's just sad.

I'm off to the O2 store in the morning as don't need to be in work till 0930  and they open at 0800.

If there is a huuuuuge queue though I'm turning round and coming home to sulk  :sad1:

I don't get it. I've bought Apple products for many years now, both personally and for the business. I had the first iPod, the first iMac in 1998, but I've never dreamt of queuing overnight for something. It's mental.

Why not just pre-order online?!

That's no good for those who want to get a contract or upgrade. But if your buying outright then yeah I'd pre order.

They're queuing at an Apple Store though, and they're not handling upgrades. Those guys are queuing to buy the phone outright.

Keep up, my "why not just pre-order" comment was in reference to the subject of people queuing outside Apple Stores.

:signLOL: back at you

Well the Vodafone concession at work just had their allocation of iPhones delivered and they received a massive 26 units. The problems is they have nearly 200 pre-orders.  :sad1:

Off to the Apple store in the morning for me then  :rolleye:

My local Carphone Warehouse store have only had 50 units delivered for their large number of pre orderes so Its an early start for me too. Even if I want an upgrade they wouldnt do it over the phone  :sad1:

I'm just glad that O2 are giving it to customers first. I have a slightly better chance :sad1:

^^^^

Slightly being the operative word.....I went to an o2 store near Glasgow they said that they were gutting in just 20 iPhone 4's  :sad1:

I'm making an early start....it's no biggie i know and stocks will come good eventually but like a muppet after 20 months of 3G ownership i dropped mine in the carpark face down! It's still useable but i now need to replace it....I've got a new glass on order from egay which i hope will allow a fix, then my wife or daughter will inherit it.

So 6am head to shops see queue then decide if it's worth my time hanging on or maybe even going to Apple and buying outright and a getting a simplicity sim contract or whatever.

Disappointing if the numbers rumoured are as low as they appear to be.....

There were plenty of ipads....

They have had a problem at the factory making the screens which has reduced output from 4 million per month to 2 million.

I'm going there at about 7:30 if the queue is more than 5 I'm off and will just wait it out for a week or so.
