I normally just hold mine on the footbrake as it will creep backwards if the slope is fairly steep although on gentle stuff it will hold on the dsg but dont like doing it for long periods obviously,
Pretty sure Hillhold is now standard on DSG Scirocco models though  :happy2:

Thx, not sure about hill hold, doesnt seem to say anything in the book
Just checked the Rocco brochure i have here and its says that hill hold is standard on DSG models, result!  :happy2:

haha, nice one, thx, so if I don't want it to 'hill hold', I guess I just accelerate ?

Yes, if you don't want to hold stationary on an incline, just gently use the throttle to balance how you want. Do the same if the incline is a bit too steep for the Hill Assist feature. Experiment, you'll quickly get the feel of it.

Think it will hill hold automatically regardless and will just release once you have put the revs on to move forwards, should be very easy.  Read your thread on the car last night and have to say that it looks stunning    ACC in the cars ive tried is also a really useful tool, and I liked what steve p had to say about lowering taking it all up a notch!

One thing i can totally recommend is the REVO remap for the DSG box.

Prevents kickdown, lets you go to limiter and raises limiter max, reduces shift times, and only steps in when it really has to, i.e . you arrive at a roundabout and forget you are in manual.

I have this combined with Stage 2 and the combination is superb!

Hey, Alistair...

I'm Stage2 too (Revo) with Revo DSG map (Stage1) on a Mk5 GTI K03 turbo car. It's subtle but smooooth.

Agreed but it's still not available for the current generation DSG boxes in the run out Mk5's (like the Pirelli), Mk6 or Rocco's  :sad1:
