Hi everyone !

well my girlfriend got a new job so traded in her old clio and bought a 2006 mk5 gti dsg in black !

her weekday car, my wekend car  :happy2:

We did get it cheap as it had all sorts of problems !

kerbed 18 inch monzas, aircon compressor broke, needed a dsg service, scuff marks and paint chips.

but slowly putting things right, so far we have the dsg service paint work and aircon done


now just 4 monzas !



so hello to all and what a great site, i have been peeking at your discussions for months prior to buyng one so knew how much the problems etc were to get a whacking discount !

Sounds abit like my situation, wife drives it weekdays, i clean and use it whenever i find the keys :laugh:

Hi matey....welcome along.

I'm sure once you've got everything sorted you'll really start to enjoy the car. 

Don't know whether this is your first DSG car.  Was for me.  Loads of fun going round the B roads, etc.  I pretend i'm Lewis Hamilton every weekend except just with no talent, no money and a few extra inches around the waist!  :ashamed:

Welcome, :happy2:   as for keys, buy 1 meter of elastic and tie one end to keys and other end around wrist, problem solved.  :grin:
