had a look round yours on sunday mate... noticed little bits which made me think your
intentions were similar to mine.
what engine mods/power are you currently at?

....A pity we didn't meet and chat. Another time hopefully.

My engine mods? - Custom Milltek TBE, Forge Twintake, Forge DV, Neuspeed Turbo Discharge & Charge pipes plus Samco hoses, Revo2, all on standard GTI K03. Dyno 260 bhp.. Could get more power but I like the driveability and some headroom.

Suspension mods include Quaife diff, KW-V3 coilovers, Eibach ARB's, AP Racing BBK, S3 rear brakes, WALK, all corner weighted and setup by Volkswagen Racing.

I'm loving your red TT

thats an impressive spec list. wish i had more free cash to put to the mk5.

these control arms that were mentioned, do they give a noticeable difference in handling? and easy enough to fit?

....I've spent whatever on mods over a 5 year period, not all at once! There's plenty more such as carbonfibre bonnet and Recaro's. I don't want to know what I've spent in total but I'm not alone in this!

Re the TT wishbones, I recently learnt that they don't move the tyre top in but rather they move the tyre bottom outwards.

rear cage seems pointless to me . door bars are a 100% must i have going out in cars which have party cages . my mk1 has a a 6 point and thats the bare min i think .

cool car tho

....Not pointless according to two independent opinions from people who professionally prepare track cars including Mk5 Golfs. Obviously not as much protection as a 6-point but FIA standard full roll-cage on a road car used for occasional trackdays could be overkill.

Whichever roll-cage we each decide to fit, we hope that it's never put to the test.

Loving the wheels, its made me consider something similar for mine instead of the Monza's and i think the Red would work as well... hmmmmmm

glad people like the red wheels, was a bit of a hit / miss choice but with the other red parts they dont look out of place.
