it will be iver the red or yellow wire in the adapter plug you have fitted with bullets...... 1 will be for the ignition the over is for a permanent live

thought I had tried all the combinations, but always seem to end up on the same boat, that being, I can turn the head unit on and off manually no problem, but cant get it to turn on with the ignition.
do you think it will be worth while tryin to tap into a different ignition feed, is the one from the fuse box maybe not strong enough.

hmmmm,  :confused:

the yellow wire says, 12v battery, and the red wire says ignition, do I plug the wire I have ran into the headunit instead if the red wire, or aswell as, pluggin it into the wee loop coming off the red.

can see me payin someone to fit this for me,  :signLOL:

try goin straight 2 the head unit on its own if not plug in2 the link wire and connect the stereo wire up2 the other half of the link(looped wire)


Had the ED30, but not got the balls.

just eventually got it fitted and workin this morning, so not really had a proper play about with it, it was quite expensive, but my other option was the RNS510 which everyone has, and by the time u get the module for the ipod, and bluetooth, its probably not that much more expensive. plus its more expandable than the RNS
I am not sure if any1 else on this forum has it, so could be a little more rare.

Will have a little play about with it, and see whats what and maybe right up a review on it. have never used an standard VW satnav so wont be able to compare it.
