"free" modifications to the GTI!?
« on: January 25, 2009, 05:40:42 pm »
Just wondering if I could help my Dad out at all.  Is there anything dirt cheap that can be replaced / removed / attacked with a hammer, to make it go any faster / be any more reliable / more economical, etc etc.

Not knowing the car that well in great detail it would be cool if there was "something" out there I could do to help him out in the long run (He doesn't frequent these types of places)

He has a stock 56 plate TFSI.

Save some weight and take off dealer stickers!!!

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

Ummm, VCDS?  :rolleye:  I might have to resort simply to giving it a going over with my claybar kit to bring up the paintwork, which in itself is not bad at all.
