Very disappointed
« on: July 02, 2010, 09:21:46 pm »
Hi all
Had the Gti lowered today on eibach pro kit and to be honest very disappointed as cant notice any drop at all  :sad1: Looks the same as when i dropped it off on wednesday!
I know they wouldn't give me as greater drop as the sportlines but was hoping to notice the gap between arch and tyre close up a little.
Clutching at straws but hoping they may drop a bit as they bed in if not could be a watse of money  :ashamed:

I have no experience with lowering a golf but my Focus st did take a few miles to drop, that said you could tell it had been done

Eibach Pro-Kit on the GTI is notorious for giving very little lowering effect unfortunately  :sad1:

Hi Tuffy

I have mine lowerd on the pro-kit springs, they have probably closed the wheel to wheel arch by 1cm tops!

But on a possitive note, they do sharpen up the handling quite nicely

whack them on ebay and buy some sportlines.

Managed to find some for £117 including VAT at Larkspeed.

Awesomegti also vowed to price match.

Good luck  :happy2:

Well, if it's any consolation, I put Koni FSDs on my previous mk5 and it actually raised the suspension

Some mk5s seem to sit lower than others as mine had standard springs on along with VZ033 wheels and people were always asking me if it had been lowered.........until I put the FSDs on........
